# Blocked Merchants

## What merchant categories are blocked by default? <a href="#what-merchant-categories-are-blocked-by-default" id="what-merchant-categories-are-blocked-by-default"></a>

XPlace enforces restrictions on certain merchant categories by default. Transactions from these MCCs (Merchant Category Codes) are automatically declined:

Rain enforces restrictions on certain merchants by default - there is also a dynamic list that blocks categories for misuse that may be ultimately unblocked. Transactions from these merchants are automatically declined:
